There will be a continued RVS from 2024!

The Research School for Religion, Values & Society was established in 2012 as a joint project between Norwegian School of Theology, Religion and Society (MF) and The University of Agder (UiA). From 2016, it has benefitted from an 8-year grant from The Research Council of Norway (RCN), with a larger number of participating universities.

In 2023, a process was initiated by the RVS board, and led by MF and VID Specialized University, to see if there was sufficient interest for a continued RVS. It turned out that there was, and we are now 9 partner institutions.

RVS will still hold three courses each year: The Summer school at Metochi, Lesbos will continue be a core activity. In addition, we will provide one spring course and one autumn course, probably with a more varied format than during the previous 8 years. We will miss the generous funding from RCN, and so the courses will no longer be free to attend. However, we hope to be able to offer courses that are reasonably priced and very attractive to attend!

The new board will meet April 12 and draw up a plan for the first terms, and we will provide more information before the summer.
